Sex Pistols punk anthem God Save The Queen is on a list of music proposed for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.
The controversial track, banned by the BBC in 1977, is among 86 on a leaked playlist being considered for the July 27 show being put together by film director Danny Boyle.
The lyrics include the line: “God save the Queen, she ain’t no human being.”
It was on the band’s first album, called Never Mind The B*******, Here’s the Sex Pistols.
The list also includes Jerusalem, the themes to EastEnders, Coronation Street and The Archers, tracks by Amy Winehouse, Adele and Dizzee Rascal plus 80s hit Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, with several of the tracks played more than once.
An Olympics spokesman said: “We want the ceremony to be a fantastic surprise... we want the British public to be proud of it.”
